Design for a Good Cause!

I found this out from the owner of Funkyutopia (who also happens to be an LJ friend of mine):

Special Spaces, based in Tennessee, “is an incredible non-profit that redesigns bedrooms for special needs children. More specifiically, they redesign a child’s bedroom to fulfill their imaginations! Their most recent redesign was for a child with bone marrow disease who would be spending a great deal of time in their bedroom recovering from their surgery and hopefully, their disease! The way the organization sees it, a child’s bedroom becomes their sanctuary and their recovery room so they aim to give these children a space where they can dream, play and heal. Their website does a much better job of explaining their mission than I am right now. Plus, there are videos and photos of their work!”

Thanks to Funkyutopia for letting me quote her and check out Special Spaces!
